ONLINE FORUM: Manufacturing Concepts in a Time of Crisis
SEBN MFG Leadership Forum
Topic: “Manufacturing Concepts in a Time of Crisis”
Reflecting on and using certain manufacturing concepts can help in times of crisis.
Business owners, directors and general managers play a strategic role in assessing the risks facing their business. Whilst frameworks exist to assess the likelihood of an event, including resulting consequences, we all have to quickly adapt to highly dynamic situations as we experience them during these days.
Reflecting on certain frameworks and systems used in manufacturing can actually help where tools and workarounds are not as common as, for example, in administration.
Join us for an online session where we will share some best practice frameworks, outline how to utilise lean manufacturing tools and provide a diagnostics map that can help in guiding your business.
Martin Schlegel has been facilitating Xcellence sessions on behalf of SEBN and has 20 years of experience in the sports and recreation, construction and plastics specialty chemicals industry in the areas of product development, IT, process engineering and R&D commercialisation. Working across Asia, Europe and the USA, he engages internationally with start-up organisations, manufacturing SMEs and subsidiaries of multinationals and spends his time on novel concepts that try to stretch the boundaries of current thinking and practice.
Frank Connolly is the Principal of “Think Quick”, a business that helps organisations to innovate and navigate future uncertainty with leading edge thinking for complex issues. He believes strongly that if we can improve the way we think, the actions that follow will also improve. Frank has worked extensively across both private and public sectors including with businesses such as Exxon-Mobil, Telstra, Westpac and Rio Tinto.
Please RSVP no later than COB Tuesday 31 March.
An online link to the meeting will be sent to all attendees the day before the meeting.
As always, we look forward to your company as you join your peers in some collective learnings, robust discussion and leave with new ideas and strategies.
