Britannia Metal Industries is a specialist precision sheet metal manufacturer and since 1941 has managed its business through the pursuit of continuous improvement. Today assisted by the most modern technology and manufacturing systems, we provide our customers with a one-stop metal solutions facility.

We are able to provide a range of services which include turret punching, laser cutting, folding, mig/tig welding, part or complete assembly. We are able to work with clients from the design stage through prototyping to full manufacture.

Being a progressive customer and market driven company, Britannia has become an established supplier to an extensive and diverse group of clients, from transport to electronics to washroom and hygiene products. Britannia Thermal Units

Britannia Thermal Units has 40 years experience in the manufacture of Heat Exchangers’, Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, and Calorifiers. We design in-house to our clients’ specifications meeting Australian Standard 1210, TEMA, and all Statutory Authority requirements.

Thermal sizing of equipment is performed using our licensed HTRI (Heat Transfer Research Inc.) software, and mechanical calculations are based on PV ELITE software. Our quality control systems are accredited to AS9001-2000.

Britannia Thermal Units supply vessels to the Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical and construction industries. Our clients include Mobil, Shell, Dow Chemicals, Quenos, Huntsman Chemicals and Orica.
We work in close co-operation with industry consultants and our clients engineering and design staff.

Our modern equipment and facilities are capable of welding ferrous and non-ferrous materials to thicknesses in excess of 32mm and our full factory length overhead cranes have a 5 tonne capacity.
